Docs™ to Markdown privacy policy


The Docs to Markdown add-on does not collect or distribute any information about the documents being converted.

Required permissions

Docs to Markdown will ask for permission to access the current Doc (to convert it). Docs to Markdown reads the Doc content and structure; it does not change any content.

Docs to Markdown will also ask for permission to display a sidebar. It uses the sidebar to display action buttons and option checkboxes as well as the converted text (Markdown or HTML).

It requires no other permissions.

Data protection disclosures

Docs to Markdown protects your data by using only the data needed to create Markdown or HTML text from your document content: it reads the active document but never modifies it.

How does Docs to Markdown store and share your user data?

Docs to Markdown does not store or share any of your user data, including the contents of the current document.

How does Docs to Markdown access and use your user data?

The only data that Docs to Markdown accesses is the active document that you want to convert to Markdown or HTML. Docs to Markdown reads the document text and writes Markdown or HTML output to a textbox in the sidebar. The original document is never modified.
